Medication
Most people don’t like the idea of taking medication to balance themselves out.
YOU are not afraid of changing, YOU are afraid of being changed!
As a police officer a common call to respond to is an individual who has failed to take their medications. When I would arrive
on scene, many times the individual who had not taken their meds failed to do so because they did not like the way they made them feel. They didn’t like the idea of being managed by medications.
If YOU feel you are being told to take medications, rather than choosing to take them, the common reaction is for YOU to feel YOU
are being told what do. This results in rebelling against taking them.
When I was prescribed meds, at first, I didn’t like the idea. But I did know that I had to follow through on taking meds to help
myself. I had to keep any negative variables in my life under control so I could truly work on myself.
This includes when YOU don’t like the way a med makes you feel.
I never made a personal decision to stop taking any meds during my recovery. If I didn’t like the side effects of a medication or
medications I was open with my doctor regarding my opinions. With the help of a doctor I had to go through a trial period of medications to find the
right medication mixture.

I have been taking prescribed and over the counter medications for 5 years. The medications’ purpose is not to cure YOU.
That medication has yet to be invented. The intent of the medications is to get balance enough to work on yourself. My medications will continue to change based on my communication with my doctor regarding my symptoms and the work I’m personally doing to get better.
Are YOU willing to take a medication to create your best future life?
